Mark Clifton Hood, 46, of Charlottesville, Va., died at his home on March 28, 2018.

Born in Charlottesville on August 21, 1971, he was the son of John L. and Carol Ann Hood.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Alan Hood.

He is survived by his mother, Carol; his wife, Lisa; and his two sons, Nicholas Tyler and Hunter Chase.

Mark graduated from Albemarle High School. He enjoyed playing basketball, going to UVA basketball camp, and multiple outdoor activities especially with his children.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Nicholas Deere and the Rev. Margaret Gillette officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, 1525 Stony Point Road, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
