Stacy Alane Bocock (Alexander) - Class Of 1987

Stacy Alane Bocock Alexander, 50, of Decatur, TN, passed away at home on May 29, 2019, while surrounded by family.

Stacy was born January 9, 1969 to Catherine and Jeffrey Bocock. 

Stacy met Walter Alexander on Mother’s Day weekend in 1995 and they were married by Thanksgiving.  Walter and Stacy were blessed with nine beautiful children. Stacy was active with home schooling, church groups, Bunco, and service organizations. 

Stacy was diagnosed with cancer in January, 2012.  She fought with faith, humor and service to the Lord.  Stacy endured extraordinary amounts of pain and suffering for an extended amount of time.  It was the Lord that helped her endure, not just for herself, but for others.  Through her fight, Stacy was a beacon of hope for many people.  For those that knew her, they have said that Stacy was the strongest woman they knew, an inspiration and she provided them hope.

Stacy is survived by her husband Walter, and nine children, Caroline, Walter (Jacob), Grace, Emily, Eleanor (Ellie), Henry, William (Nick), Mary Frances, and Charles.  Stacy is also survived by her mother, Catherine Inouye, and her mother’s husband Mike. Her sister Wendy Sale, Wendy’s husband Anderson, and their five children.

There will be a viewing on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 5PM to 8PM at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens.  The service celebrating Stacy’s life will be held at Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Mars Hill Presbyterian Church.
