David Scott Palmer - Class Of 1984

Beloved son, David S Palmer, passed away on March 15, 2019, under the care of Hospice of the Piedmont.

He was predeceased by his mother, Kay D. Brown and his father, John S Palmer.

He was survived by his aunt, Carolyn Scisci of Belton, South Carolina; stepfather, David Brown; and cousin, Marion Gravely Jackson and her husband, Richard Jackson, of Charlottesville, Va.

David was born on April, 1966, in Scott AFB, Illinois. David graduated from Albemarle High School, attended PVCC, New River Community College, graduated from the New England Culinary Institute, and worked in various food services in Blacksburg and Charlottesville, Va., including Glenmore Country Club and Farmington Country Club. David loved the Redskins as well as UVA football and basketball. He has been a lifelong Grateful Dead fan. David enjoyed life, had a sense of humor. Throughout his all too brief life he made many good friends, many in Charlottesville. He was into internet games and social media making many internet friends throughout the world and was considered by all to be a kind and gentle soul.

The family is grateful for the excellent and loving care given to David by Martha Jefferson Hospital and the Hospice of the Piedmont.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, Hospice of the Piedmont or your favorite charity.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, 1525 Stony Point Rd.
