Jay Matthew Douglas, 57, of Crozet, Va. died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at his residence.

He was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on January 23, 1959, the son of Loretta W. Douglas and the late Edward M. Douglas.

He received his formal education in the Albemarle County School System. Jay enjoyed the arts and fashion, was a devoted Baptist, and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was dedicated to his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Loretta W. Douglas of Crozet, Va.; two brothers, Gregory Douglas, M.D. and wife, Jessica Douglas, and Ronald S. Douglas, Esquire and wife, Judge Wanda Bryant Douglas; one sister, Denise Ann Douglas Turner; a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends

.A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Pea Ridge, White Hall, Va.
