Samuel Patteson Clarke (1966)
Born September 20, 1958, he was the son of Robert Nelson Meadows Sr. and the late Lilieth Griffin Meadows. His maternal grandparents, Samuel and Lillian Griffin; and paternal grandparents, Wardie and Flossie Meadows, also preceded him in death.
Robert "Bob" was a 1976 graduate of Albemarle High School where he was an academic and athletic standout. Bob went on to the University of Virginia to continue his education. Bob was a caring and loving family member, friend and co-worker, the presence of this very quitespoken gentleman will truly be missed.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter, Andrea Veney of Esmont, Virginia; his wife, Diane, and their daughter, Alana Meadows of Charlottesville, Virginia; one brother, Samuel Meadows and his wife, Donna, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; five nieces, Aja Meadows and Camera Handy, both of Eastern Shore, Virginia, and Deanna, Danelle and Denai, all of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; and a host of loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church, 105 Lankford Ave., Charlottesville, Va., with the Reverend Lloyd Feggans Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the UVA Diabetes and Hormone Center for the Pediatric Endocrinology Foundation, (children with diabetes), P.O. Box 800773, Charlottesville, VA 22907-3015.
