Gregory "Gregg" DavisGregory "Gregg" Davis, 60, of Barboursville, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at his residence.

He was born to Matthew Randolph and Cynthia Smith Davis.Gregg as he was known among family, friends and those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Machen Davis.

Gregg taught at the Henley Middle School for 33 years, from which he retired.

Along with his parents of Barboursville, Va., Gregg is survived by his son, Marques Davis of Harrisburg, Pa.; two daughters, Olaycynth N. Davis of Newport News, Va., and Cadessa M. Davis of Barboursville, Va.; three grandchildren, Kyra Davis, Dominic Davis, and Kaylee Davis; and three brothers, Rick and Keith, both of Barboursville,  and Stanley Davis of Richmond, Va.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Covenant Church, 1025 E. Rio Rd. Charlottesville, Va. The Rev. Robert Anthony will officiate.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 20, 2015, from 3 until 8 p.m., and at the church on Monday, from 10 a.m until time of service at 11 a.m.

Satchell's Funeral Service, Inc. of Orange is in charge of the arrangements.
