Daniel Davis Wood, Jr. of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016. He was surrounded by his wife of 36 years, Donna Longo Wood, and his son, Daniel Davis Wood III.

Dan was preceeded in death by his parents, Daniel Davis Wood, Sr. and Catherine Wood.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Wymer and her husband, Charles Wymer of New Hope, Virginia. Dan had nieces, Lucy Wymer Cryan, and Lindsey Curran Reynolds; and nephews, Thomas Craig Wymer, Andrew Wymer, and Sean Curran.  

He was a graduate of Albemarle High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech.  He was the "ultimate Virginia Tech Hokie" fan. Dan will be greatly missed by family, friends, and coworkers.  

A scholarship fund has been established in his name and donations may be made in his memory to Crooms Academy of information Technology Dan Wood, Jr. Scholarship.

A service will be held in Virginia later in March before Easter weekend.  Dan will be laid to rest next to his parents at the Monticello Memory Gardens.
