Lewis Wayne Collier - Class Of 1973

Lewis "Wayne" Collier Lewis "Wayne" Collier, 63, lifer of Free Union, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at his home surrounded by his wife, Patricia; children, Lucy and Grady; and his four legged companions, Abner and Daisy.

Born to Lannie and Helen Collier on December 23, 1953, he was the third of five children.

After his parents tragic death in July 1957, Wayne and brother "Jr." lived with their father's brother, Raleigh and his wife, Cora Collier, all preceded him in death.

Wayne was very passionate about farming and had one of the best small cow-calf farms in the area. This passion had been handed down to his children, who are not afraid of working hard. He was very proud of his kids. He not only worked his own farm but did so professionally as well. He considered himself a lucky man and proud to be part of the community he lived in.

He is survived by his life love, Patricia; children, Lucy and Grady; sisters, Lillian McClary, Jean Simmons, and Ann Morris; brothers, Dennis and Edward; loving mother in law, Betty Whitmore; aunt in law, Billie Jean Banks, and many more family members.

Wayne did not wish there to be any type of service.
