I remember Phillip well from Junior High at Henley as well as at Albemarle.  I had a great conversation with him about the world we grew up in at our last reunion, which I will now cherish even more. He was thrust smack dab in the middle of a rapidly changing world, and he always handled himself with grace, smarts, and humor.  I'm sure it wasn't easy at times.  I always admired and respected him.  Peace to all his family and friends.

I also remember Phillip from Henley. If I remember correctly he was voted Mr. Congenialty one year because of his wonderful personality. He was always laughing and had a smile for everyone.  Caring thoughts go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

I also first met Phillip at Henley Junior High. Remember well got to know him when we all worked on several projects together in Brenda Trenholme's basement. Always enjoyed his company. We had a great visit at our last AHS reunion. Spent a lot of time talking about the work he was doing, and how much he loved it. He will be missed and well remembered. Condolences to his family.

I enjoyed talking with Phillip at our 2012 reunion. He told me about arguments he had with Mr. Hill, our 11th grade English teacher. I got along with Mr. Hill better than he did. We both liked Mrs. Beckwith, who was our 10th grade English teacher.

I was always in awe of Phil's "wild and crazy" personality. He could charm anyone. I guess except Mr. Hill. Wasn't he the one who threw erasers at students who slept in class?  Bruce Wagner

Hey Bruce, I don't remember Mr. Hill throwing erasers. Was that one of the Phys Ed teachers? I do remember Mr. Hill had a "greasy kid stuff" hair style our junior year. The following year, I believe he got a romance going with a nice looking lady fellow faculty member, who must have made him ditch the product, because his hair looked cleaner.

The eraser thower WAS the greasy-haired english teacher. I never actually SAW him throw an eraser, but he encouraged the rumour. I recall that some students bought him some "dry look" hair spray and then he quit using the brylcreem.
