Theodore Brett Hardeen - Class Of 1972

Theodore Brett Hardeen of Wilmington, NC passed away on July 1, 2017.  He was born on May 4, 1954 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Elizabeth Brett and Theodore Hardeen.

Ted spent a number of his childhood years living in Geneva, Switzerland and later was a student at Episcopal High School and Windham College in Putney, VT.

After living and working at Wintergreen Resort, VA, Hilton Head Island, SC, and Stratton Mountain, VT, he made his home of 25 years in Wilmington, NC.

Ted was passionate about his real estate career as Senior Vice President at Coldwell Banker Seacoast Advantage and his Seacoast family.

Ted is survived by two sisters, Camella Brown and Deborah Richey.  He was a loving and devoted husband and father to his wife of 34 years, Skippy Hardeen and son Teddy Hardeen. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws Howard and Beverly Smith and Wickham and Billie Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends from all over the country.

Ted loved spending countless hours with his family and close friends.  He enjoyed extensive travel, soccer, music, concerts, cooking, and reading.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 7 at 2 pm at Andrews Market Street Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope From Helen, P.O. Box 187,  Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480.
