Anita Karen Miller - Class Of 1971

 

Anita Karen Miller, born November 30, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, November 23rd, 2006, in Portsmouth, Virginia. 

In 1962 Anita's parents, Arlene Anderson Miller and Harold Miller, relocated the family to Earlysville, Virginia. Anita was very spiritual and accepted Christ as a small child.

Her sister, Kimberly Richardson, predeceased Anita. She leaves to cherish her memory her parents; her brother Anthony and his wife, Davra; her nephews, Marcus Richardson and Jonathan Richardson; her nieces, Brandy Richardson, Kayce Miller and Peri Miller; 10 aunts, five uncles; over 100 cousins; and a host of friends. Anita also leaves her beloved dog Puddles, her constant companion over the last 12 years.

Anita graduated from Albemarle High School and later attended San Francisco City College in California. She continued her education by enrolling in classes at Richmond Christian Center. She learned television camera operation skills and later filmed Sunday church services for 12 years at the center.

During her career she worked in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Phoenix, Arizona; San Francisco, California; Los Angeles, California; Portsmouth, Virginia; and Richmond, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 1 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2006, 6045 Advance Mills Road, Ruckersville, VA, with the Reverend John E. Reid officiating.
