Deborah Sue Green (Thorsell) - Class Of 1968

Deborah Sue Sandifar Green Thorsell, 64 years young, passed away on November 18, 2014, at her home in Redmond, Oregon.

Deborah was born on December 22, 1949, in Winchester, Indiana. She was the beloved daughter of Ernest Sandifar and Jolene and Melvin Green.

She graduated from Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, Va. and attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

Deborah was the oldest of seven children and felt blessed to be a part of such a loving and large family. Deborah was married to her best friend, Mark Thorsell. They enjoyed spending time traveling in their RV or on their Harley. She was the loving mother of two children, Kristina and Jason, and had one grandson, Brandon.

Deborah is survived by her mother, Beverly Jolene Green; her siblings, Phoebe Shaia (Frank), Teresa Hall (Harry), Melvin Green, Jr. (Aileen), Angela Mossbarger, Stan Green (Ann), and Patricia Austin (Jim); her children, Kristina Lawrence and Jason Lawrence (Danna); and her grandson, Brandon Lawrence. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her dads, Ernest Sandifar, Jr. and Melvin Green, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her two loving dogs, Velvet and Bear.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2015, at Quantico National Cemetery.Redmond Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
