William Frank Snead - Class Of 1966

Frank was born on November 29, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William Frank "Bill" Snead III and Ruth Klausing Snead.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his son, William Frank  "Will" Snead V.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda B. Snead of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Connie S. Haine of Henrico, Va., Marjorie S. Pugh and her husband, Preston of Glen Allen, Va.; and Lucinda S. Ambrose and her husband, James of Henrico, Va.; grandson, William Evan Snead of Palmyra, Va.; uncle and aunt, William and Betsy Klausing of Bernardsville, N.J.; nephew, Ross Haine of Jacksonville, Fla.; niece, Laura Pugh of Huntersville, N.C., and many cousins. 

Frank served in the Army National Guard and worked as a concrete pump equipment operator for many years. He loved nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Other hobbies he enjoyed were wildlife photography and raising tropical fish.

The family will receive friends at Sheridan Funeral Home, Kents Store, Va., on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, from 6 until 7 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at Fork Union Cemetery on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Bruce Lugn of Scottsville United Methodist Church officiating. A reception will be held afterwards at Fork Union Baptist Church.
