Janet Irene Johnson, 67, of Charlottesville, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012.
She was born on June 29, 1944, in Albemarle County, to the late Jonathan Franklin Leathers Jr. and Glenice Irene Dudley Leathers.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Johnson; and by her children, Michelle Renee Garrison and Leslie Wayne Johnson. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Garrison, Brittany Renee Garrison and Cassidy Brooke Garrison; a brother, Jonathan Leathers; two nephews, Brandon and Sean Leathers; and a friend, Viviane Brenig. Janet was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a strong, hardworking woman, who always put family first. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday April 28, 2012, at Rivanna Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Wingfield officiating. Friends may sign the register book at www.hillandwood.com.
