Samuel Patteson Clarke (1966)
He was born November 3, 1942, in Crozet, the son of the late Orene Price and Charlie Joseph Pugh Sr.
He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church and was a retired salesman from Sears. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed people.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" F. Pugh; two daughters, Kathy P. Britts and her husband, James M., of Afton, Donna P. Fitzgerald and her husband, Thomas J. Jr., of Charlottesville; one brother, John A. Pugh of Afton; two grandchildren, Jonathan Christian Britts and Katilee Britts; and two very good friends, Johnny Johnson and Paul Truslow.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2005, at Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Randolph, Mike Floyd, Sherman Floyd, Greg Pugh, Chris Pugh, Chad Pugh, Donald Gray, and Steve Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Rittenhouse, Charles Rorror, Johnny Johnson, Paul Truslow and other friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening, May 28, 2005, at Reynolds Funeral Service, Waynesboro.
