William Simeon Norford

William Simeon Norford, 69, of Ruckersville, died on Friday, May 28, 2010, at his residence.

He was born on April 8, 1941, in Charlottesville, a son of the late Coleman Norford and Ethel Clements Norford.

He was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren in Ruckersville and was retired from Taylors Auto Body Shop in Charlottesville.

Mr. Norford is survived by his wife, Mary Edna Norford of Ruckersville; three daughters, Kathy Roach and husband, Donald of Barboursville, Debra Timpe and husband, Chuck of Roanoke and Hope Harrison and her husband, Rick, of Ruckersville; two sons, Billy West and his wife, Paula, of Ruckersville and Doug West and his wife, Pam, of Fluvanna; one sister, Gay Loftin of Charlottesville; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne Norford.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Charlottesville officiated by the Reverend Gary Sheffer.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville.
