Samuel Patteson Clarke (1966)
She was born January 28, 1939, to the late Raymond and Martha Thomas, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Charlie "Jack" Thomas, all of Crozet.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tom H. Jarvis of Crozet; two daughters, JoAnn Knight and her husband, Tony, of Earlysville, and Patricia Jarvis and her fiance', Keith Wood, of Boonesville; five grandchildren, Adrianne, Tanner, Tiana "T.T." Knight, Hunter and Logan Wood; two sisters, Mary McAllister and Janice Shifflett of Crozet; one brother, Raymond "Buck" Thomas; many nieces and nephews that loved her and many, many friends.
Peggy was currently retired but many will remember her for her association with ACME Visible Records, Wayside Press, Pattersons Flower Shop, and the Dollar General Store of Crozet.
She enjoyed going to cook-outs and listening to blue grass and gospel bands. She enjoyed television and like to crochet. Peggy enjoyed spending time with family during the holidays.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Southside Church of God with Pastor Larry Hudson officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, after which the family will gather for fellowship at the Mechanics Lodge in Free Union.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at the Teague Funeral Home
