Herbert W Gribble - Class Of 1960


 

Herbert Wayne Gribble, 66, of Scottsville, Virginia, passed away in his home on Saturday January 3, 2009.

Herbert was born to the late Cecil and Minnie Gribble of Scottsville, Virginia on February 4, 1942, in Richmond, Virginia.

He was survived by his wife, Carmen Gribble; son, Erik Gribble; daughter, Erika Bryant; brothers, John and Charles Gribble; and sister, Ann Sacre. His most beloved legacy left behind is his only granddaughter, Kayla Bryant.

Herbert was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and brother. He was most memorable for his outgoing personality, big heart, and love for his family. He will be loved and missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him in his many wonderful years on this earth.

The Gribble family as well as the Bryant family would like to extend their thanks to all of their family members and friends for their devotion to a wonderful man. Herbert would have felt honored to be loved and cherished by so many caring people.

The viewing will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at the Mount Eagle Baptist Church in Charlottesville.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. at the church with The Reverend Sidney Craig officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

A family gathering will follow the interment in the lower level of the church. The family prays that all may attend.
