Charles "Connie" Crenshaw (1958)
It is April 22, 2016. Today I attended the 50th anniversary of the vietnam War Memorial in Charlottesville Virginia. It is the oldest Vietnam Memorial in the United States. There were 58,307 United States service men and women killed in the Vietnam War. That includes 12 nurses and ine 15 year old boy who lied about his age to enlist. There were 26 fron Charlottesville and Albemarle County. They were recognized and remembered today. Allen Firth, a 1959 Albemarle High School graduate was among them.Allen, I thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country.

Charles "Connie" Crenshaw (1958)
In this date in 1967, Sgt Allen Firth died in Vietnam. He is one of the 28 soldiers remembered at the Dogwood Vietnam Memorial who were local casualties of the war.
Today please send up a prayer for his family, Albemarle High school friends, his UVA student friends and all who knew him.
From a grateful nation, we salute you Sgt Allen Firth.
