Ellis Samuel Frazier Jr - Class Of 1957

Ellis S. Frazier Jr., 83, of Charlottesville, Va. died on October 1, 2021 at his home, unexpectedly.

Born March 26, 1938, in Charlottesville, Va, he was the son of the late Ellis S. Frazier Sr. and late Annie Mae Holloway Frazier.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Louise and his sisters Barbara Anne Garrison, Jane Wood, brother Johnny Frazier and brother in-law Joe Wood.

Ellis is survived by son Jeff Frazier and wife, Susan: twin daughters Kim Frazier and Kaye Frazier-Campbell, and her husband, Allen; Six grandchildren, Kenyth and fiancée, Amanda, Keyth and wife, Erica; Amber, Faith, Candice and Charity. 12 great grandchildren; Chase, Ayden, Remi, Kyelin, Kolton, Rylie, Todd Michael, Grant, Adrienne, Ava, Bridgette and Bruce, great great grandchildren twins Kia and Keiloni due this month. He leaves a sister, Nancy Gilbert; nieces Sherri, Lisa, Cary, Danna, Amanda, Cindy, Anna and Bobby.

Ellis was an Albemarle High School graduate. Then started his working career at Sperry Marine from 1958-1992 as a Quality Control Analyst; he devoted his time to Robert E. Lee Elementary School and Rock Hill Academy in Charlottesville.

From 1970-1996 worked for NASCAR race teams of drivers, Ed Negre, Phil Parsons, Frank Warren, Buddy Arrington, Ken Schrader, Robert Pressley, Mark Martin, Michael Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt, Kyle Petty, Richard Petty, Allen Kulwicki and Harry Gant. Ellis joined the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #97 in 1975 / Elks #389 in 2007 / American Legend Post #74 SAL in 2015 and the Albemarle Archers Club.

Per Dad's written request there will not be a burial service but a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to East Rivanna Volunteer Fire Company (https://www.ervfc.com) or Louisa county Rescue Squad (https://www.louisacountyrescue.org/).
