Judith Ann Pace (Wheeler) - Class Of 1956

Judith Pace Wheeler, 74, of Charlottesville, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013.

She was born in Charlottesville, on October 5, 1938, to the late Thomas H. and Bessie Wood Pace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Booker Wheeler, to whom she had been married 34 years; as well as her brother, Thomas "Nick" Pace. She is survived by her son, Cary Howard Wheeler and his wife, Kimberly; by her step-grandchildren, Laramie and Madalyn Shreve; and by her nephew, Todd Pace.

She was a longtime member of Alberene Baptist Church and had been Postmaster Relief at the Keene Post Office before her retirement.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Golden Living of Charlottesville and Legacy Hospice for their kind and compassionate care, also to the church families of Alberene Baptist and The Point of Charlottesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Alberene Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeff Cale officiating. Interment will follow 1 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home.
