Betty Dolores Taylor of Lake Monticello, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Betty was raised by her grandparents, Newton and Susan McDaniel in Crozet, Virginia.

A graduate of Albemarle High School and long time beautician, she loved her family and working in her yard.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Taylor; daughter, Rhonda Cook and her husband, Mark, of Lake Monticello; son, Kevin Hoke and his wife, Kim, of Winchester; and daughter, Robyn Widdifield and her husband, Chad, of Afton; six grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Scott, Kevin Jr., Danielle, Brock, Casey, and Tyler; and a great-granddaughter, Leah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's honor to Lake Monticello Fire and Rescue, Inc., 10 Slice Road, Palmyra, VA 22963.
