George Calvin Critzer - Class Of 1955

George Calvin Critzer, age 79 and a longtime resident of Crozet, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, April 24th, 2017.

Born March 24, 1938, Calvin affectionately known by his family as “Buddy”, was a graduate of Albemarle High School, and a proud member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecil Critzer, his brother Donald Critzer, and his mother Ruth Critzer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years Libby Critzer; his children Lorie Critzer of Ipswich, MA; Shane Critzer of Crozet, VA and his wife Bonnie and her two children, Alyssa and Brandon Clements; and Misty Critzer of Crozet, VA. He will be missed by his sisters Ann Kidd of Greenwood, VA and Sue Hughes of Charlottesville, VA; his niece, Dawn Kidd, and her sons, Logan and Liam Kidd; and his nephews, Dustin and Stephen Kidd and Stephen's wife Yazmin.

Arrangements are being coordinated by Anderson Funeral Services in Crozet VA. All are welcome to join Calvin's loved ones for family night on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 6 until 8 PM at Anderson Funeral Services, 5888 St. George Avenue, Crozet, VA. Burial will be at Rockgate Cemetery in Crozet, VA on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11 AM with Reverend David Collyer from Crozet Baptist Church officiating.

We invite everyone to join the family at their residence at 1085 Buford Street, Crozet, VA following the service.
