Kemper Rea Yowell, 73, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, formerly of Charlottesville, Virginia, died at 9:29 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Colonial Manor in York, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Suzanne (Markwood) Yowell. They observed their 51st wedding anniversary on July 27, 2008.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Davis and her husband, David, of Pylesville, Maryland, and Susan Coster of Baltimore; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jack B. Yowell and Robert P. Yowell, both of Charlottesville.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kemper Rea Yowell III.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 11 2008, at the Fawn United Methodist Church, 67 South Market Street, Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Jane Harrison officiating. Interment will be at the adjoining cemetery.

The viewing will be held at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania, from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008.
