Ann Elizabeth Hunt (Lilly) - Class Of 1954


Ann Elizabeth Lilly, 77, of Charlottesville, died on Monday, March 25, 2013, at a local health care facility.

She was born in Albemarle County, the daughter of Elizabeth Marsh Hunt of Charlottesville and the late Henry M. Hunt. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Brenda A. Lilly; a sister, Clara Hartman; and the father of her children Lewis Lilly.

Mrs. Lilly was a retired receptionist at the University of Virginia Credit Union.

She had a passion for crocheting, loved her garden with her flowers and making sure the birds were always fed. She loved her shopping trips with her daughter-in-law Connie and loved her family deeply.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two sons, Edward Madison Lilly and Debbie Thacker, Dennis Scott Lilly and Connie Lilly; her grandchildren, Scotty Lilly, Tiffany and Mike Keyton, Kimberly "Kim" Lilly and Don Ryder, Devin Shifflett and Casey Crenshaw, Morgan Shifflett, Brooke Lilly and T.J. Wood; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Colonial Baptist Church with Pastor Edwin Leake officiating. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Teague Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Debbie Thacker for all she did for Ann and the kind and caring staff of Golden Living of Charlottesville for the wonderful care of their mother, and so memorial contributions are requested to Golden Living of Charlottesville, 1242 Cedars Court, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
